Sistem Pendeteksi Tingkat Kesamaan Dokumen Pada Tugas Mahasiswa Dengan Menggunakan Algoritma Rabin Karp

ABSTRACT
Document digitization is common in this modern era. One of the negative impacts
of digitizing documents is the high number of cheating cases in students assignment.
Detecting the similarity level of documents is a way to find out student fraud in
doing assignments. String matching is a method that is quite often used in detecting
the level of document similarity. One of the algorithms that can be applied to
perform the string matching process is the Rabin Karp algorithm. The Rabin Karp
algorithm detects the level of similarity of documents with several stages starting
from K-gram parsing, hashing, String Matching and determining the level of
similarity. In this study, testing was carried out using ten documents as test data
and five variations of the k-gram value. From the results of this study it is known
that the level of similarity of documents can be known in the form of a percentage
of similarity.
