Rancang Bangun Jaringan Voip Di Pt. Jaya Muda Pertama Pekanbaru Riau

ABSTRACT
PT. Jaya Muda Pertama Pekanbaru Riau is a company engaged in residential
properties and shop houses. The company has internet network infrastructure, but its
use is not optimal for free local communication. VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol)
technology is a technology that offers voice transmission services directly over the
internet using the Internet Protocol (IP). VoIP technology is the right solution for PT.
Jaya Muda Pertama Pekanbaru Riau in overcoming the swelling operational costs
experienced. In using a VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) network, it is necessary
to pay attention to the QoS (Quality Of Service) parameters in order to find out how
good the quality of the network used is. The parameters to be measured are Delay,
Throughput, Packet Loss, and Bandwidth. Quality of Service is a terminology
characteristic of a network service. In building a VoIP network, a network operating
system is needed, namely Asterisk Software and SoftPhone X-Lite, where Asterisk is
an Open Source operating system, the features provided are more complete and easy
to use. SoftPhone X-Lite is an IP-based telephone application to be able to
communicate using VoIP networks. Tests carried out to determine the quality of
network services by testing network quality per day where the highest throughput
value is 1518 kbps, the highest packet loss value is 0.8%, the highest delay value is
19.314ms. While the network test per computer obtained the highest Throughput
value of 1518kbps, Packet Loss value of 0.7%, and the highest Delay value of
18.286ms. From the tests carried out for 5 days from Monday to Friday for 15 days,
the researcher can conclude that the qualification of the scores obtained has a very
good category according to the TIPHON standard.
