Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Beban Terhadap Laju Keausan Dan Koefisien Gesek Pada Wet Contact Pin-On-Disc Menggunakan Mineral Oil Sae 10w-30 Dan Synthetic Oil Pao 10w-40
ABSTRACT
Every object that moves and comes into contact with each other must experience
friction. Friction is a phenomenon that occurs on a surface of contact that moves
relative to each other. Friction that occurs continuously can cause wear and tear or
loss of particles of an object. There is a science that studies friction, wear, and
lubrication, the science is called tribology. There are several factors that affect
wear and tear, including rudeness, rotary speed, and hardness. As for the way to
prevent or reduce the occurrence of wear and tear, namely by adding lubricants,
lubricants can be gaseous, liquid, semi-solid, or gaseous that can receive force
freely from mechanical equipment and prevent damage by abrasion and reduction
in size of metals or other components through expansion of non-similar due to
heat. From this study obtained the largest wear rate is in the variety of sae mineral
oil lubricant 10W-30 with a load of 8 kg 1.98853×10-14 m³ / Nm and the lowest
wear rate is in the variety of lubricant synthetic oil PAO 10W-40 with a load of 2
kg 2.13316×10-15 m³ / Nm, and the largest friction coefficient value is in the
variation of sae mineral oil lubricant 10W-30 with a load of 2 kg 0.003748 and the
lowest friction coefficient value that is in the lubricant synthetic oil variation PAO
10W-40 at a load of 8 kg 0.003450.
