Struktur Komunitas Ikan Yang Bernilai Ekonomis Penting Di Sungai Nilo Desa Betung Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau
Rivers are a form of aquatic ecosystem that plays an important role in the hydrological cycle and functions as a water catchment area for the surrounding area, so that the condition of a river can be influenced by the characteristics of the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the Diversity of Species and Abundance of Economically Important Fish in the Nilo River, Betung Village, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. This study was conducted in February-March 2025 in the Nilo River using survey methods and primary and secondary data. Fish sampling was carried out using fishing gear such as nets, traps, and tajur. Fish sampling was carried out in the morning with repeated sampling carried out 1 time every 3 days for a period of 1 month. The types of fish found were Pangasius sp, Hemibagrus nemurus, Wallago leeri, Kryptopterus limpok, Belondontichthys dinema, Barbonymus schwanenfeldii, Cyclocheilichthys apogon, Osteochilus hasselti, Tor tambra, Puntioplites bulu, Channa striata, Channa micropeltes, Helostoma temminckii, Oshpronemus goramy, Notopterus notopterus, Chitala hypselonotus, Mastacembelus erythrotaenia, Anabas testudineus. The diversity index value (H') in this study ranged from 2.6-2.70 which is included in the moderate diversity category. The highest diversity index value was at Station 1 (upstream) and the lowest at Station 3 (downstream).
