Perubahan Tradisi Do’a Padang Di Desa Pulau Kulur Kecamatan Kuantan Hilir Seberang Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
This research was conducted in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out the changes in the implementation of the do'a padang tradition and to find out the social roles, ninik mamak, alim ulama, village head, shaman and the role of the community in the tradition of do'a padang. The research subjects involved in this study amounted to 1 village head, 4 ninik mamak, 4 people who farmed and 1 cleric in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The methods used are observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The theories used in this research are Emile Durkheim's theory of social change and Paul B. Horton's theory of social roles. Horton. The results of this study are the history of the do'a padang tradition, preparation for implementation, changes in the implementation of small changes and major changes, causal factors caused by economic factors, division of labor, changes in mechanical solidarity to organic solidarity and social roles. The role of ninik mamak, the role of alim ulama, the role of nagari officials, and the role of the community in maintaining and preserving the tradition of do'a padang.
