Pengelompokan Daerah Penyebaran Kasus Covid-19 Di Provinsi Riau Menggunakan Metode K-Means Clustering

COVID-19 is a disease caused by the Corona Virus that is transmitted to humans
and attacks the respiratory system. COVID-19 was first detected in the city of
Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 and has spread very quickly to all countries
including Indonesia. Currently, the spread of COVID-19 cases has been evenly
distributed in almost all regions of the world, one of which is in Indonesia,
especially Riau Province. This study aims to produce information on the
clustering of areas for the spread of COVID-19 cases in Riau Province. The
clustering of areas for the spread of COVID-19 cases was carried out using the kmeans
clustering method by grouping areas into 3 clusters, namely areas with
high, medium, and low levels of spread. The final result of this study is that there
were 118 sub-districts from various districts that were included in the cluster of
areas with a low level of spread, 28 sub-districts from various districts that were
included in the cluster of areas with a medium level of spread, and 5 sub-districts
in the city of Pekanbaru that were included in the cluster of areas with a high level
of spread.
