Identifikasi Persebaran Beruang Madu (Helarctos Malayanus) Di Hutan Larangan Adat Kenegerian Rumbio

ABSTRACT
The Kanagarian Rumbio Prohibition Forest is a protected forest that is a
habitat for wild animals, especially sun bears (Helarctos malayanus), this forest is
located in Kanagarian Rumbio, Kampar District, Kampar Regency, Riau
Province. The existence of conflicts that occur between humans and poaching
carried out in protected areas can threaten the existence of sun bears. Therefore, it
is necessary to identify the distribution of sun bears using the line transect
method. Data analysis used Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis and
vegetation analysis. Based on the results of field observations, it was found that
there were 49 signs of encounter in 5 lines. The types of encounter marks found
were divided into 45 scratch/climb tracks, 1 nesting, and 3 torn apart. Signs of
higher sun bear encounters were found in the panoghan zone.
