Efisiensi Chloride Removal Plant (Crp) #2 Di Evaporator Plant #4 Terhadap Penghilangan Chloride Dari Abu Hasil Pembakaran Recovery Boiler
ABSTRACT
Chloride Removal Plant (CRP) serves to treat and separate the content of
chloride (Cl), potassium (K) and particulates contained in the combustion ash
from the Recovery Boiler. With a large amount of chloride and potassium
removed from the system, it will extend the life of the boiler unit. The level of
chloride fed, will be proportional to the chloride that can be removed. In this final
project, a performance analysis of chloride removal plant #2 will be carried out
on the removal of chloride from ash from the Recovery Boiler. The observed
process variables were the flow of ash (feed) and purge, namely the totalizer
volume, content of chloride, density, moisture content, Na2SO4, SO4, Na-, and K+.
The process used to separate the chloride content from the ash is crystallization.
In this event the chloride content will evaporate and be separated by ash crystals
based on the boiling point. The efficiency obtained from chloride removal in CRP
#2 in the 1st week is 80.24%, the 2nd week is 77.14%, the 3rd week is 74.14%,
and the 4th week is 35.10. %. This value indicates that the efficiency has not
reached the target of 90% chloride removal. This is due to the scaling that occurs,
there is a thickened crust on the pipe diameter. This affects the flow of abnormal
flow and also the heat retained on the crust wall so that heat transfer does not run
optimally. To overcome this, cleaning is carried out on the part of the pipe that is
experiencing scaling.
