UTILIZATION OF CYBER PUBLIC RELATIONS PT TELKOMSEL REGIONAL SUMBAGTENG IN MEETING THE NEEDS OF

The development of the internet in the increasingly rapid digital era has given rise to social media applications that are used by many practitioners of public relations companies or agencies as a means of providing information to the public. Public Relations Telkomsel Regional Sumbagteng has been using cyber PR media for a long time, namely using E-mail, Internal Blogs, and WhatsApp. Telkomsel uses this media for the dissemination of information and publications regarding the company's activities. There are several things that attract researchers, namely the use of cyber PR media by Telkomsel which has resulted in many achievements for the company and provides information for public needs.
This study uses a qualitative descriptive type of research. The subjects in this study consisted of seven people, where the subjects were those who were directly involved with the cyber public relations activities of PT Telkomsel Regional Sumbagteng and the subjects who felt the impact of Telkomsel's cyber PR activities. This study uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The researcher uses the Miles & Huberman data analysis method which consists of three flow of activities that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To achieve the validity of this research data using triangulation and extension of participation.
The results show that Telkomsel Regional Sumbagteng uses cyber public relations focusing on the internal part of the company by utilizing 3 cyber public relations tools including e-mail for employees and journalists to disseminate press releases, "Popcorn" the company's internal communication media for Telkomsel employees throughout Indonesia, and WhatsApp as a medium of communication between individuals (personal chat), departments (groups). For external public information needs, most of the information is managed directly by Telkomsel Central corporate communication by utilizing other cyber media such as Website, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Telegram, LinkdIn and Tiktok.
