Pembuatan Dan Perakitan Airframe (Fuselage, Sayap Dan Ekor) Wahana Terbang Tipe Racing Plane Serindit V-3
Abstract
To improve the performance of the racing plane flying vehicle, in 2021 the Mechanical Engineering flying robot team at the University of Riau again designed the Racing Plane re- vehicle. The design process for the Serindit V-3 vehicle has been completed at the design stage. The second stage of the design of the Serindit V-3 spacecraft is the manufacture and assembly of the Serindit V-3 flying vehicle based on a predetermined design. In this study the Serindit V- 3 vehicle was made using fiberglass composite material on the fuselage, while the tail and wings were made using foam core composite material. This research begins with the printing of the two parts of the fuselage using the vacuum bagging method. When finished, the two parts of the fuselage are joined together using epoxy glue. Next, the wings and tail were made using foam core composite material. After all parts of the fuselage have been made, it is continued with the process of connecting all parts of the fuselage. Based on the measurements that have been made, the fuselage, wings, vertical tail, and horizontal tail have a mass of 169 gr, 235 gr, 13 gr, 62 gr, respectively. This shows that the mass of each part of the fuselage of the Serindit V-3 flying vehicle meets the predetermined criteria. Based on the measurement of the dimensions of the fuselage, the height has the largest error of 4.8% while the width has the largest error of 4.6%. Based on the measurement of the dimensions of the wings, the width has the largest error of 9.6%. While the vertical tail, the wide part has the largest error, which is 3.8%. On the horizontal tail, the wide part has the largest error, which is 7.3%. This shows that the error of each part of the fuselage of the Serindit V-3 flying vehicle meets the predetermined criteria, which is below 10% so that it does not have a major effect on the performance of the vehicle.
