Penentuan Waktu Optimum Regenerasi Unit Proses Sac #9 Dan Sba #9 Di New Demin Pt Rapp
ABSTRACT
Water Treatment Plant is an area of Power Side under the auspices of the PT. Riau Prima Energi which aims to process Kampar river water into clean water for mill operations and townsites. In the water treatment plant, there are several water treatment areas, one of which is the Demin Plant area. Demineralization Water is the process of absorbing mineral ions which will later be used as boiler feed. There are several stages of the regeneration process, namely sub surface wash, backwash, pre-chemical injection, chemical injection, displacement, and final rinse. Regeneration is carried out to restore the performance of the resin again because the resin contained in the ion exchanger has been saturated. There are several quality parameters of demin water treatment that are controlled in new demin, namely pH, conductivity, silica, and sodium. However, the quality parameters in the demin water treatment unit in the new demin have not yet reached the expected quality standards. Therefore, in this final project, a research was carried out to determine the optimum regeneration time for the SAC #9 and SBA #9 process units at PT RAPP's new demin. The results of the research analysis show that the optimal regeneration time in the SAC #9 unit is shown in the variation of the backwash regeneration time for 5 minutes with a flow of 47.5 m3/h and a displacement time of 75 minutes with a flow of 30.76 m3/h. of 177 uS/cm. While in the SBA unit #9 the optimal anion regeneration time experiment results are shown in the variation of the backwash regeneration time for 10 minutes with a flow of 30.40 m3/h and a Sub Surface wash time of 10 minutes with a flow of 30.40 m3/h. conductivity of 2.17 uS/cm.
