Analisa Pengaruh Press Dewatering Terhadap Runnability Di Paper Machine #1
ABSTRACT
The pressing serves to reduce the moisture content of the paper sheet by pressing the sheet between two rolls. In this practical work, observations were made of the process of removing/reducing water from the sheet at the pressing, in particular studying the effect of press dewatering on the runnability of paper machine 1 and knowing the factors that affect press dewatering. Based on the data obtained, it can be seen that the effect of press dewatering that is too high can affect runnability in paper machine, namely paper crushing so that the paper breaks easily. dewatering can make the paper tend to be wetter and the paper will break more easily. Based on the data obtained, it can be seen that the effect speed on press dewatering has a very strong correlation with the value of R2 (R square) which is 0.91. As the speed of the machine vacuum uhle box also increases with an R2 0.47 for the 1st uhle box vacuum, an R2 0.62 for a PU uhle box vacuum, and an R2 0.81 for a 3rd uhle box vacuum. Along with the increase in vacuum , dewatering also increases with an R2 0.78 at the 1st uhle box dewatering and 0.81 at the 1st press saveall, the R2 0.86 at the PU uhle box dewatering and 0.91 at the suction roll saveall, and the value of R2 is 0.37 on the 3rd uhle box dewatering and 0.92 on the 3rd press saveall. R2 or R square is a number that ranges from 0 to 1 which indicates the magnitude of the combination of independent variables that affect the value of the dependent variable. Based on the results of the analysis during the final project, it was found that the factors that affect press dewatering factors such as speed, vacuum, and felt life time.
