Prarancangan Pabrik Epiklorohidrin Dari Diklorohidrin Dan Sodium Hidroksida Dengan Disain Alat Utama Reaktor Cstr (R-101)
Epichlorohydrin is a derivative compound of allyl chloride which has the molecular
formula C3H5OCl. Epichlorohydrin is also used in the manufacture of elastomers,
glycidyl ethers, cross-linked food starch, surfactants, plasticizers, dyes, pharmaceutical
products, oil emulsifiers, lubricants, and adhesives. In Indonesia, the need for
epichlorohydrin compounds is still very dependent on imported products from other
countries. The raw materials used in this epichlorohydrin plant are dichlorohydrin and
sodium hydroxide. The epichlorohydrin plant operates 330 days/year continuously 24
hours/day and is located in Serang, Banten. One of the main tools used to synthesize
epichlorohydrin is the stirred flow reactor (CSTR) R-101. The R-101 reactor has an 83%
conversion. The economic analysis of the epichlorohydrin plant is 25% BEP, 15.57%
ROI, 22.73% IRR, and 4.28 year BPB.
