The Tenayan Raya PLTU is located in Sail Village, Tenayan District, Pekanbaru City. The company is engaged in the field of coal-fired power plants with 189 employees. The mechanical process of coal processing at PLTU Tenayan Raya by using machines and work tools accompanied by loud sounds continuously will increase sound exposure to workers and increase the risk of danger to workers. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of noise generated by the production machine, exposure time, noise mapping and noise control efforts. The intensity is described in the mapping using “Software Surfer 13”, which produces a contour which is then combined with the location of the PLTU Tenayan Raya which is indicated by different colors, namely, blue, green, yellow, purple and red. The highest noise intensity is located at point 31 which is 97.2 dB in the compressor room with an exposure time of 0.48 hours indicated by red color where the temperature reaches 33,70 C and the lowest noise intensity is at point 1 which is 70.1 dB in the coal crusher room. with an exposure time of 250 hours indicated by a blue color where the temperature reaches 290 C. Has been carried out at PLTU Tenayan Raya, there are several locations where the intensity of the noise produced has exceeded the noise quality standard value that has been set according to the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia No. 5 of 2018 concerning the noise threshold value in the workplace which has been set at 85 dB.
