Analisis Pengaruh Daya Mesin Diesel Dongfeng Model R175 Dengan Variasi Bahan Bakar Campuran Oli Bekas Dan Pertamina Dex (P5, P15, P25) Terhadap Emisi Gas Buang
Waste lubricant oil is an alternative fuel that has the potential to save the use of fuel
oil (BBM) and minimize environmental impacts. The mixture of used oil and Dexlite
fuel has been used in modified diesel engines at the Production Technology
Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Riau University. The best
results were obtained in a mixture of P25 with a loading power of 2,000 W. In this
study, an analysis of exhaust emissions produced by the Dongfeng R175 diesel engine
was carried out with a mixture of used oil and Pertamina Dex as an alternative fuel.
There are three samples of fuel used: P5 (95% used oil and 5% Pertamina Dex), P15
(85% used oil and 15% Pertamina Dex), P25 (75% used oil and 25% Pertamina
Dex). The calorific value of the fuel mixture and exhaust emissions were analyzed by
varying the power load at idle, 1,000 W, and 2,000 W. The test results were analyzed
using Microsoft Excel with the output in the form of a graph of the emission level
released by the diesel engine. The results showed that the best mixture was P25
where at the highest power of 2,000 W produced the respective values of CO, CO2,
HC and Opacity emissions of 0.07%, 4.86%, 73 ppm, and 25%. In each fuel mixture
which is varied at each loading power, the resulting opacity value does not exceed
the quality standard according to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment
Number 05 of 2006 concerning Threshold of Exhaust Gas Emissions for Old
Motorized Vehicles.
