Prarancangan Pabrik 1-Hexana Dari Etilen Menggunakan Proses Alphahexol Dengan Disain Alat Utama Menara Distilasi Hexana
ABSTRACT
The design of the 1-hexane plant from ethylene with the Alphahexol process aims to further study the feasibility of the factory being established. The 1-hexana plant is designed with a capacity of 100,000 tons / year and operates continuously for 330 days / year. Ethylene, which is the main raw material for obtaining products according to capacity, is designed with a product purity of 99%. The production process used is Alphahexol where this process is an oligomerization of ethylene under operating conditions of 140oC with a pressure of 30 bar. The main product of 1-hexane is obtained through separation using a hexane distillation tower with an operating condition of 186oC at a pressure of 3 bar where 1-hexane is the top product. This factory is planned to be established in 2025 in the industrial area of Pertamina RU II Dumai, Dumai City, Riau. Based on the results of economic analysis and factory feasibility, the Return of Investment in the 1-Hexana plant is 39.39%, the payback period is 1.98 years, the break even point (BEP) is 54% and the internal rate of return is 22.74%. . Based on the results of economic analysis, the pre-design of the 1-hexana plant with a capacity of 100,000 tons / year is feasible to consider its establishment.
