Gambaran Penanggulangan Tuberkulosis Paru Dengan Strategi Dots (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) Di Puskesmas Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2022

Abstract Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease that causes 10 deaths in the world that attacks the lungs. Since 1995, Indonesia has implemented tuberculosis control programs in promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health efforts to tackle TB. The DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) strategy is a direct supervision strategy so that the TB healing process is resolved. This study aims to provide a more in-depth description of the prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis with the DOTS strategy in health centers in Pekanbaru City. Methods: This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a case study research design. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling with a total of 10 participants. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews. Data analysis using Colaizzi. Results: TBcontrolwith the DOTS strategy mostly, most of the government is's running role is good in efforts to provide training, medicines funding and laboratory examinations using and have microscopy TCM not maximized for a small part, because not all Puskesmas have TCM, it is necessary to provide TCM tools. Most pulmonary TB treatment is carried out for 6 months and PMO has played a good role in monitoring patients. Most of the efforts in the availability of drugs are good and available at the Puskesmas. Recording is done SITB and a offline with TB registers, small part of which is not maximized, but efforts to provide facilities and additional human resources are needed Conclusion: The implementation of the DOTS strategy in 10 Pekanbaru City Health Centersmostly is good, it is hoped that there will be a strengthening that the DOTS TB program can be carried out in all health care facilities so that it can cope with TB optimally.
