Pengaruh Cahaya Wadah Dan Jumlah Pakan Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Larva Ikan Gabus (Channa Striata Bloch, 1793)
Abstract
This research was carried out in March-April 2022, at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine of Riau University. The purpose of this research was to determine the best of light on the container and the feeding rate on the growth and survival of snakehead fish larvae. This research method was experiment using a Completely Randomized Design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the different Light of the Container with two level. The second factor is the Feeding Rate with three level. The treatments in this study, namely WtP40 (light and feeding rate 40), WtP50 (light and feeding rate 50), WtP60 (light and feeding rate 60), WgP40 (dark and feeding rate 40), WgP50 (dark and feeding rate 50), WgP60 (dark and feeding rate 60). The results showed that the light of the container and the feeding rate had significant effect and statistical test results (Student Newman Keuls P < 0.05) on the growth and survival of snakehead fish larvae. The results showed that WgP60 can increase the growth of snakehead fish larvae with an absolute weight of 2.88 g, absolute length 7.59 cm, LPS 16.45%, feed efficiency 50.10%, survival rate 93.33%, cannibalism type A 1.67%, cannibalism type B 0.00%, index of cannibalism 1.67%, and normal mortality 5.00%. The parameter of water quality during the research namely temperature 27.0-28.3°C, pH 6.5-7.1, and dissolved oxygen 4.0-5.2 mg/L.
