Pencegahan Penyakit Motile Aeromonas Septicemia Pada Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasianodon Hypophthalmus) Menggunakan Larutan Kulit Nanas (Ananas Comosus)
Abstract
Disease control can be done by increasing the immune system of fish by using natural materials by immersion pineaplle solution (Ananas comosus). The research was carried out in October 2021-Februari 2022 at the Fish Disease and Parasite Laboratory, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Riau University. This study aims to understand the best dose of Pineapple solution (Ananas comosus) given by immersion to jambal siam fish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) and challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. The treatments used were Kn: Negative control (without immersion in pineapple solution (A. comosus) and not challenged A. hydrophila bacteria, Kp: Positive control (without immersion in pineapple solution (A.comosus) but challenged bacteria A. hydrophila, P1: immersion of jambal siam fish (P. hypophthalmus) with a solution of pineapple peel (A. comosus) at a dose of 1600 ppm and challenge with A. hydrophila bacteria, P2: immersion of jambal siam fish (P. hypophthalmus) with pineapple solution (A. comosus) at a dose of 1600 ppm and challenge with A. hydrophila bacteria, P3: immersion Jambal Siam fish (P. hypophthalmus) with pineapple solution (A. comosus) at a dose of 2000 ppm and challenged with A. hydrophila bacteria. The best dose a solution of pineapple peel (A. comosus) is 1800 ppm, which is indicated by total erythrocytes (252.17 x 104 cells/mm3), hemoglobin (9.73 g/dL), hematocrit (39.00%), Survival Rate (96.67%) and water quality during the study temperature (27.6-28.3oC), (pH 6.3-8), (DO 3.42 – 4 mg/L), and (NH3 0.01-0.02 mg/L).
