Pembuatan Replika Tulang Berbahan Baku Hidroksiapatit Menggunakan Metode Starch Consolidation Dengan Variasi Jenis Tepung
ABSTRACT
One materials that has potential for bone implants and has a resemblance to the original bone is a 3D bone replica made from porous hydroxyapatitite (HAp). Stacrh Consolidation is one of the methods for making bone replica based on HAp. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the addition of wheat flour to the characteristics of porous HAp. This research was conducted by mixing 20 grams of HAp with 12 grams of starch in the form of cornstarch, potato starch and sago flour and 30 ml of distilled water to form a slurry. The slurry formed was then stirred at a speed of 200 rpm. The mixture was then inserted into a 3D printed duck femur bone. Furthermore, the mold mixture was heated at 100ºC for 1 hour. After that, the green bodies were removed from the mold and dried in an oven at 100ºC for 24 hours. The dried sample was then put into the furnace. Burning was carried out at 600ºC for 1 hour and followed by sintering at 1200ºC for 1 hour. The increase in the addition of starch causes the resulting porosity to be greater, the density to be smaller and the shrinkage of the sintered body produced to be smaller. Sintered body shows a decrease in cornstarch of 48.07%, potato starch of 47.5%, and sago flour of 50.11%. The porosity obtained from variations in the types of mainzene flour was 41.4%, potato flour 46.17%, and sago flour 43.31%. And the density obtained on cornstarch is 1.84 gr/cm3, potato starch is 1.69 gr/cm3 and sago flour is 1.78 gr/cm3.
