Prarancangan Pabrik N-Butanol Dari N-Butil Butirat Menggunakan Proses Hidrogenasi Dengan Desain Alat Utama Menara Distilasi (T-301)
ABSTRACT
Butanol is a chemical that can be used in the chemical industry. Butanol (C4H10O) is used as a solvent or organic synthesis in industries such as textiles, plastics, polymers, paints and pharmaceuticals. The main raw materials used for the manufacture of Butanol are Butyl Butyrate and Hydrogen with the Hydrogenation process. The Butanol factory is planned to be built with a capacity of 15,000 tons/year located in the Cilegon industrial area, Cilegon City, Banten. The planned company form is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The factory will operate 330 days per year and 24 hours per day. The employee work system is divided into shift and non-shift employees. The main tool design in this plant is the Distillation Tower (T-301) which functions to separate N-Butyl Butyrate and N-butanol products. This Distillation Tower (T-301) is operated at a pressure of 1 atm and a temperature of 117.79 OC. The economic analysis of this plant design shows that the N-Butanol plant is feasible. With a Break Event Point (BEP) value of 58.56%, Interest Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.87%, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 27.41%, and Payback Period (PBP) of 2,68 years
