Prarancangan Pabrik Akrilonitril Menggunakan Proses Sohio Dengan Disain Alat Utama Reaktor Fluidized Bed With Internal Heat Transfer (R-101)
ABSTRACT
Acrylonitrile is a chemical that has many uses. In the industrial sector, acrylonitrile is known as an intermediate used in the manufacture of polymers such as thermoplastic acrylic fibers (Acrylonitrile Butadiene and Styrene), NBR (Nitrile Barrier Resins), synthetic rubber and aponitrile. The production of acrylonitrile can be done by several processes, one of which is the sohio process where the raw materials in the form of ammonia gas, propylene and oxygen are reacted in a fluidized bed reactor at a temperature of 350°C and a pressure of 2 bar using a bishmuth molybdate catalyst. The production of acrylonitrile with the sohio process has several advantages over several other processes where the sohio process has high yield and selectivity up to 81% and 83% even the conversion of propylene raw material in the sohio process reaches 98%. Reactions that occur in the reactor take place at high temperatures and also take place exothermic reaction for that required coolant flow flowing in the reactor. The reactor itself has a height of 25.98 m and a diameter of 5.34 m which is equipped with an internal cyclone as a means of separating the catalyst particles carried in the reaction process. The evaluation of this factory's economic analysis shows that the factory is feasible to be established with a Factory Return On Investment (ROI) of 59.54%, Break Event Point (BEP) is 35%, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 22.67%, and Payback period (PBP) is 1.33 years.
