Hubungan Emotional Quotient Dengan Competitive Anxiety Pada Tim Futsal Romanita Fc Kota Dumai
The factor that makes the player's game disrupted when competing is competitive
anxiety. Competitive anxiety is a negative psychological symptom that a person
has, such as feelings of fear, worry, and anxiety that occur when competing.
Emotional quotient is the ability of a person to be able to manage emotions,
regulate emotions, and control emotions. This study aims to determine whether
there is a relationship between emotional quotient and competitive anxiety in the
futsal team Romanita FC Dumai City. The type of research is correlation
research. The research method used is quantitative research. The population is 20
futsal athletes for the Romanita FC Dumai team. Total sampling technique as a
sampling method. Product moment correlation and IBM SPSS Statistics 28
application are a way to analyze data. This study found that there was a
significant (negative) relationship between emotional quotient and competitive
anxiety on the Romanita FC Dumai futsal team. With rcount = -0.992 > rtable =
0.423. The value of the correlation result is negative, meaning that the better
(higher) a person's level of emotional intelligence is, the level of anxiety in
competing will decrease.
