Karakteristik Briket Arang Berbahan Baku Ampas Tebu Dan Kulit Batang Sagu Dengan Perekat Tapioka
ABSTRACT
Bagasse and sago bark are biomass waste that can be used as an alternative energy source in the form of charcoal briquettes. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best ratio bagasse and sago bark to produce quality charcoal briquettes made from bagasse and sago bark based on SNI No. 01-6235-2000. The study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications. The treatments in this study were the ratio of bagasse charcoal and sago bark 10:90, 20:80, 30:70, 40:60, and 50:50. Data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) test at 5% level. The results showed that the ratio of bagasse charcoal and sago bark had a significant effect on water content, ash content, volatile matter content and bonded carbon content, while it had no significant effect on calorific value. The best treatment briquettes was AK2 = bagasse charcoal 20% and sago bark 80% which had a moisture content of 6.35%, ash content 6.19%, volatile matter content 9,13%, bound carbon content 81.43% and calorific value 7.085,64 cal/g.
