Pemanfaatan Ekstrak Kulit Nanas Sebagai Spray Hand Sanitizer
ABSTRACT
Spray hand sanitizer is a practical anti-germicidal spray preparation form in the
form of an antiseptic liquid, its use by spraying it on the palms of the hands, then
applying it evenly to the surface of the hands. The purpose of this study was to
determine the functional groups of flavonoid compounds from pineapple peel viscous
extract by performing FTIR spectroscopy testing and knowing the pH value of spray
hand sanitizer from pineapple peel extract. Manufacture of spray hand sanitizer
from pineapple peel extract is carried out by the soxhletation extraction method
using ethanol solvent with a concentration of 50%, 60% and 70% by heating at a
temperature of 80°C for 5, 6 and 7 hours and the process thickens the pineapple peel
extract using a rotary evaporator. The results of the FTIR spectroscopy test on
pineapple skin viscous extract obtained functional groups indicating that the
flavonoid compounds are O-H, aromatic C-H, aliphatic C-H, aromatic C=C,
alcohol C-O, and C-O ether functional groups. Making a spray hand sanitizer from
thick extract of pineapple peel is done by adding 70% aquadest and ethanol with a
ratio of 1:1. Spray hand sanitizer from pineapple peel extract is tested for pH and
organoleptic.
