Prarancangan Pabrik Potassium Phospate Dengan Proses Netralisasi Dengan Alat Utama Reaktor Ratb Netralisis (R-320)
ABSTRACT
Potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) is one of the inorganic fertilizers whose production
locally is still small. This fertilizer consists of the main components of potassium and
phosphate where these elements are macronutrients needed by plants. The need for
imports of potassium phosphate in Indonesia has tended to increase in the last five
years. Potassium phosphate production plants are still minimally established in
Indonesia, so they still meet domestic needs by way of imports from abroad. The
purpose of the CSTR Neutralization Reactor (R-320) is to react phosphoric acid with
potassium hydroxide to produce potassium phosphate and water as by-products.
Reactor operating conditions (R-320): a feed temperature of 80 °C and a pressure of 1
atm. The potassium phosphate factory is planned to be built in the Gresik Industrial
Estate (KIG), East Java, with a production capacity of 8,000 tons per year. The main
design tool in the form of a reactor has a height of 5.449 m and the ability to produce
99% purity. Total Capital Investment (TCI) in the pre-designed potassium phosphate
factory is Rp. 208,782,377,784 or US$ 13,926,243. Based on the results of economic
analysis, this potassium phosphate plant is feasible to build with a BEP value of 22%,
ROI of 34.92%, IRR of 22.74%, and PBP of 2.17 years.
