Prarancangan Pabrik Kalsium Klorida Proses Asidifikasi Dengan Design Alat Utama Evaporator Cacl2 (V-101)
ABSTRACT
Domestic demand for calcium chloride continues to increase every year. Calcium chloride is a chemical substances needed by industries such as the pulp, cement and food preservative industries. Calcium carbonate can be processed into calcium chloride through the acidification process. The main raw materials used in the manufacture of calcium chloride by acidification process are calcium carbonate and 37% hydrogen chloride. This plant is planned to operate for 330 days per year and work continuously for 24 hours/day with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year which will be built in Sidoarjo, East Java. The remaining time during the operation process is used for shutdown, plant maintenance, instrumentation maintenance and repair. The form of the company chosen is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with a line and staff organizational system. The employee work system is based on the division of working hours consisting of shift and non-shift employees. The main tool design in this factory is the CaCl2 Evaporator (V-101) which is used to evaporate the H2O contained in the CaCl2 solution with the desired concentration. The economic analysis of this plant design shows that a calcium chloride plant is feasible to set up. With a Break Event Point (BEP) value of 29.5%, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 22.39%, Interest Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.73%, and Pay Back Period (PBP) of 3.6 year.
