Penentuan Status Mutu Air Sungai Sail Dan Lokasi Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (Ipal) Di Das Sail, Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Sail River is one of the tributaries of the Saik River that crosses Bukit Raya District, Tenayan Raya District, Sail District and Lima Puluh District, Pekanbaru City. The Sail Watershed (DAS) is in a densely populated and activity-dense area. The Sail River also acts as the main drainage in Pekanbaru City, community activities around the Sail River such as residential areas, plantations, farms, shops, markets, and schools cause a decrease in water quality on the Sail River. The analyzed parameters are physical (temperature, TSS, TDS), chemical (pH, COD, DO, Pb), and biological (total coliform) parameters. The results of the water quality analysis obtained will be compared with class II water quality standards based on PP No. 22 of 2021. For the analysis of the Sail River, it uses a method that refers to the Decree of the Minister of the Environment No. 115 of 2003, namely the STORET Method and the Pollution Index. The quality status of the Sail River downstream based on the STORET method in the last 5 years shows a "heavily polluted" condition, while the results of the IP method analysis show a "moderately polluted" condition. From the results of the analysis of determining the quality status, the best method in determining the quality status of the Sail River was obtained, namely the STORET method. The results of the analysis of water quality and quality status are the basis for determining the location of communal WWTP in the Sail Watershed with the scoring method which is one of the efforts to control the source of pollutants in the Sail River.
