Pengaruh Dosis Pada Proses Koagulasi-Flokulasi Air Sungai Dengan Menggunakan Biji Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata) Dalam Menyisihkan Kekeruhan Dan Tds
ABSTRACT Utilization of grain as a natural coagulant has been widely used. This is an alternative to the use of synthetic coagulants. Mung bean seeds can be used as a natural coagulant because they contain protein. This study aims to determine the effect of coagulant dosage and slow stirring time on the efficiency of turbidity removal and TDS in river water using natural coagulants from mung bean seeds. Mung bean seeds were prepared by drying in the sun for 3 days and sifting with a sieve size of 100 mesh. The dose of coagulant used is 100 mg/l; 200mg/l; 300mg/l; 400 mg/l; 500 mg/l, 600 mg/l, 700 mg/l and 800 mg/l and slow stirring times of 20 minutes. The results showed that the highest turbidity removal in coagulation and flocculation process water was 93.61%at operating conditions pH 3, coagulant dose of 200 mg/l and slow stirring time of 20 minutes while the TDS concentration increased at a dose of 200 mg/l which was 284 mg/l so that the TDS efficiency was -%. Keywords: natural coagulant, green seeds, coagulation-flocculation, turbidity and TDS (total dissolved solid)
