Pola Komunikasi Suami Istri Pada Keluarga Nelayan Dalam Aktivitas Mencari Nafkah Di Kelurahan Limbungan Kecamatan Rumbai Timur Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
Abstract
This research was conducted in the Limbungan Village, East Rumbai Sub District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research aims to knowing the characteristics of fishing households, to find out the livelihood activities carried out by husband and wife in fishermen families, and to describe communication patterns of married couples in fishermen's families in their livelihood activities in Limbungan Village. The method used in this research is an in-depth interview. Determination of informants in this research using the snowball technique with a total of 5 fishermen and fishermen's wives. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis, the theory used is the theory of communication patterns in the family by Devito (1997). The results of the research 1) Characteristics of fishermen and fishermen's wives in Limbungan Village have a productive age, with fishermen's and fishermen's wives earning around IDR 800,000 to IDR 2,300,000. 2) Activities carried out by husband and wife in fishermen families is the husband works as a fisherman and is the main breadwinner in the family. Wife works as a itinerant fish seller and itinerant vegetable seller. 3) There are 3 communication patterns between husband and wife in fishermen's families in Limbungan Village, namely equality pattern found in informants III, IV, and IV. Unbalanced split pattern found in informants I, and monopoly pattern found in informants II.
