Analisis Pengaruh Tinggi Unggun Briket Pada Kompor Biomassa Yang Mengemisikan Gas Co Dan Sox Ke Udara Pada Pembakaran Briket Dari Ampas Sagu
ABSTRACT
The need for energy sources is increasing along with the increase in energy consumption by the community. This must be immediately balanced with the provision of new renewable energy sources. One step that has been widely researched and developed is biomass. Briquettes are an alternative fuel from biomass utilization. In Indonesia, sago pulp has considerable potential to be used as renewable energy in the form of briquettes. The benefits of making briquettes can reduce the generation of sago waste which causes environmental pollution. This study aims to determine the proximate characteristics of raw materials and briquettes, CO and SOx emissions as well as the performance of the stove from burning these sago pulp briquettes. Then it will be connected with variations in briquette bed height, where the variations used are 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 of the height of the stove's combustion chamber. The emission test results will be compared with the quality standards of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 1077 of 2011. Moisture content 21.92-8.22%, ash 34.41-30.51%, volatile matter 40.83-22.01% and heat 4000-4599 cal/gr. The emission results are above the quality standard except for SOx which emits a value slightly above the quality standard, namely 0.2 ppm, the relationship between the concentration of gas emissions increases and decreases by fluctuation. The stove performance results for each variation of briquette bed height meet the quality standards set by SNI 7926-2013.
