the age of 18 and adults or other children. The Australia-Indonesia Partnership
for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (MAMPU) is one of the
collaborations between the Australian government - DFAT (The Australian
Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade) and the Indonesian government -
BAPPENAS which aims to reduce violence against women’s, including the issue
of child marriage by supporting the government's national strategy to reduce the
number of child marriages in Indonesia. This study uses document analysis
techniques by searching for data using written sources that reflect the use of
synchronous language. The author also uses a descriptive qualitative approach
which aims to produce and describe in a systematic and in-depth manner the
implementation of the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Gender Equality and
Women’s Empowerment (MAMPU) work program to reduce the number of child
marriages in Indonesia in 2018- 2020.
The results showed that the implementation of the MAMPU program
received full support in developing work programs aimed at supporting the
program based on predetermined thematic areas. The MAMPU Program also
supports related partners in their involvement in implementation specifically
aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Despite differences
in views regarding child marriage, the implementation of MAMPU's work
program in reducing child marriage rates continues by involving policymakers,
communities and partners involved.
