Hematologi Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasianodon Hypophthalmus) Yang Diberi Pakan Mengandung Larutan Biji Alpukat (Persea Americana Mill.)
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in May to July 2022 at the Laboratory of Fish Parasites and Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best dose of adding avocado seed solution to feed to improve the health of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus fish based on hematological values.. The method used was an experimental method using a one factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatments were Negative control (Nc) feed was not added avocado seed solution and was not challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila, Positive control (Pc): feed without avocado seed solution added but challenged with A. hydrophila, and feed was added seed solution avocado with doses of P1 (1000 ppm), P2 (1150 ppm), P3 (1300 ppm) challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila. Fish kept for 46 days. The results showed that the best dose of feed containing avocado seed solution was found in treatment P3 (1300 ppm) with total erythrocytes 286.33 x 104 cells/mm3, hemoglobin level 10.80 g/dL, hematocrit level 39.67%, and total leukocytes 10.30 x 104 cells/mm3, with the survival rate of 95.55%. Water quality ranges from 27 – 29 oC, pH 5 – 7, DO 3.5 – 4.7 ppm, and ammonia 0.018 – 0.026 mg/L. Data obtained of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus fed with avocado seed solution effect on improving the hematology of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus.
