Pemetaan Tingkat Kebisingan Pada Unit Paper Machine 2 (Ppm 2) Di Pt. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Perawang Tbk
ABSTRACT
PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper which is the largest paper mill in Southeast Asia located in Perawang, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted in the unit PPM 2 (Paper Machine 2) with a work area of 5000 m2 which is a white paper production unit for printing and copying paper. The mechanical process of processing wood into pulp and paper using machines and work tools accompanied by continuous loud noise will increase the sound exposure of the workforce and increase the risk of danger to the workforce. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of noise generated by production machines, exposure time, and efforts to control noise. The intensity is described in the mapping using "Software Surfer 13", which produces a contour which is then combined with the location of the unit PPM 2 which is indicated by different colors, namely, purple, green, yellow, orange and red. The highest noise intensity is located at point D8, which is 100.6 dB with an exposure time of 0.21 hours, shown in red where the temperature reaches 300C and the lowest noise intensity is at point E3, which is 65.9 dB with an exposure time of 660 hours, indicated by a purple color where the temperature reaches 270C. Based on the results of research and measurements that have been carried out at the PPM 2 unit, there are 45 location points with noise intensity that exceeds the quality standard or noise that has been determined according to Permenker RI No. 5 of 2018 concerning the noise threshold value in the workplace which has been set at 85 dB.Control efforts that can be carried out with points that exceed the quality standard are control from the source, control from the voice transmission line and control from the receiver.
