Pengaruh Perendaman Hormon Tiroksin Dengan Dosis Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Larva Ikan Jelawat (Leptobarbus Hoevenii)
Abstrack
Relatively slow growth is one of the obstacles in cultivating jelawat fish. Efforts that can be made to accelerate the growth of jelawat fish larvae are using hormonal stimulation by soaking the larvae in a thyroxine hormone solution. The research was carried out in March - April 2023 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. This research aims to determine the effect of immersion in the thyroxine hormone with different doses and to determine the best dose of the thyroxine hormone on the growth and survival of jelawat fish larvae (Leptobarbus hoevenii). This study used a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatment used is P0 = dose 0 mg/L, P1 = dose 0.05 mg/L, P2 = 0.10 mg/L, P3 = dose 0.15 mg/L. Larvae were reared for 40 days at a stocking density of 2 individuals/liter. The results of the research showed that immersion in the hormone thyroxine at different doses had a very significant effect on absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, daily growth rate and larval survival. The best dose was P3 (0.15 mg/L) with absolute weight growth of 0.83 g, absolute length growth of 3.85 cm, daily growth rate of 12.86% and survival of 93.33%. Water quality during the research was in the normal range which was able to support the growth and survival of jelawat fish larvae (L. hoevenii). Temperatures range between 27-28 °C, pH 6.5 -7.1 and DO 4.1-5.3 mg/L.
