Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua Pada Anak Tunadaksa Di SLB Negeri Pembina Kota Pekanbaru
The formulation of the problem in this research is what is the social support of parents for children with physical impairments at the Pembina State Special School in Pekanbaru City? This research aims to determine the social support of parents for children with physical impairments at SLB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru City. This research has 4 sub focuses, namely 1) emotional support 2) instrumental support 3) information support 4) appreciation support.
Once this research is carried out, it is hoped that it will provide benefits. The benefits of this research are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits. It is hoped that the theoretical benefits of the results of this research will increase scientific knowledge, especially those related to parental social support for children with physical impairments at school. And it is hoped that the practical benefits of the results of this research will be useful for schools, students and future researchers.
This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. This research was carried out at SLB Negeri Pembina, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, involving 5 (five) informants as research subjects, including 2 core informants and 3 control informants. The collection techniques in this research are document techniques, observation and interviews. Meanwhile, analysis in research includes data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and triangulation.
Based on data analysis and discussion, this research can conclude that parental social support at SLB Negeri Pembina is always carried out by all parents at home and carried out by teachers at school. Social support is very much needed

by all children, even children with special needs, who are given more attention, affection and love by a parent.
Social support provided by parents and teachers always makes children feel comfortable and appreciated that there are still people who care about them and accept them for who they are. And social support is not only provided by family and teachers but also by friends, neighbors and relatives. The social support provided to support a child to live a life like a normal human being in general, support also has a positive impact on the child to solve problems well, happily and in control. Social support is a solution for children, especially for children with special needs. Children who always want to be cared for, appreciated, given love, given a sense of comfort make them always grateful. Social support in the family home must always be carried out and not compare each other, let alone favoritism, and when at school the teacher, who as the child's parent, must always embrace and be a place for complainers when they are not heard at home, then at school the teacher becomes a place to complain. sad for the child. Families and teachers always try as hard as possible to provide the best for children with physical impairments, and always accept them as they are.
Based on research data, social support provided by someone to an individual allows individuals to solve problems easily and quickly. Support that always has a positive impact that makes an impact on activities and activities, social support is carried out by social creatures who need each other and cannot live alone. Family is our initial education before going to school, at home we are taught, guided and form the child's good and bad character, whereas at school we are only given direction, guidance which is only in detail.
