ABSTRACT
The Executive Board of the Malay Customary Density Council is responsible for the problems that occur in society. It also includes conflicts that occur within community members. In this case it is said to be the obligation of the tribal chief and tribal chief. The current situation is that the roles and responsibilities of tribal chiefs and tribal chiefs in customary justice have begun to be neglected and rely on national law, this is done by several parties to obtain permanent legal force. The purpose of writing this thesis: first to find out how to regulate domestic violence conflict based on customary law, secondly to find out the role of the Malay Customary Council of Higher Density Council in resolving Domestic Violence Conflicts based on customary law how the resolution process is, which applies in Sungai Village Pinang, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
This research is classified as a sociological research type, because the author directly conducts research on the locations or points examined to provide a complete and clear picture of the problem under study. The research was conducted in Sungai Pinang Village, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency, while the population and sample were all parties related to the problems studied in this study, the data sources used were primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques in this study were interviews, studies library and data analysis.
From this research there are two things that can be concluded first, to find out how to regulate domestic violence conflicts based on customary law contained in Babbul Al Qawait, namely the constitutional book of the Kingdom of Siak Sri Indrapura. Second, the role of the Executive Board of the Malay Customary Council in resolving conflicts based on customary law is as an intermediary or mediator. In terms of resolving this conflict, the thing to do is to resolve this problem in a family or deliberative way.
