Efektivitas Penerapan Model Inkuiri Terbimbing Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Peserta Didik Pada Materi Gaya Dan Gerak Pada Benda Di SMP
Science is built on the basis of scientific attitudes, scientific processes and scientific products. Based on the view of science as a process, in science learning currently process skills are used. Science process skills (KPS) are very important for students to face competition in a global era that demands competition between people. The profile of students' science process skills is still in the poor category. However, science process skills can still be trained and improved through the use of models, strategies and learning approaches that are able to stimulate students' science process skills. This research was conducted by determine the effectiveness of implementing the guided inquiry model on students' science process skills in the material force and motion on things in middle school. The type of research used is experimentation with a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental) and using instruments in the form of post-test. This research was conducted at As-Shofa Islamic Middle School Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research population was all class VIII students consisting of 4 classes with a total of 92 people. The sample was determined using the lottery technique to obtain class VIII.4 as the experimental class and class VIII.2 as the control class. There is a significant difference in students' science process skills between classes that apply the guided inquiry learning model and classes that apply conventional learning on force and motion of objects.
