Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas Viii3 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru
The improvement of the learning process towards a higher quality and the increase in students' mathematical problem solving skills are the important points of this research. The research was conducted in two cycles in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with students in class VIII3 as the research subject. Learning tools made are syllabus, lesson plans and LKPD, while data collection instruments are obtained from teacher and student activity sheets and KPMM tests. Data were analyzed based on the results of observations and KPMM tests that have been carried out. The results of this study indicate that the teacher and student activity sheets illustrate that the learning process is better after the application of the PBL model at each meeting. The KPMM test that has been carried out shows an increase in each cycle after the application of the PBL model at each meeting, where the average results of the KPMM test scores in cycle I and cycle II are higher than before the action (initial test). Based on the results presented, the application of the PBL model can improve the learning process towards a higher quality and increase the KPMM of students in class VIII3 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru
