Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Dengan Konteks Lokal Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII.1 SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru
The research aims to describe how the application of the PBL model with the local context of Riau can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students on variables linear equation system in the odd of the 2023/2024 school year. This research is a Class Action Research carried out in class VIII.1 Junior High School 13 Pekanbaru 13, there were 41 students. The data collection techniques used are observation and test, and the data is analyzed with techniques of narrative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the data analysis of teacher and student activity, the learning process improves at each meeting. The percentage of students who reached KKM in the knowledge competence at the base score is 39,02%, which increased in cycle I to 51,22%, and in cycle II increased to 70,73%. The percentage of students who reached KKM in skill competence in cycle I is 43,90%, and in cycle II increased to 63,41%. Analysis of learning outcomes data showed that there was an improvement in students' learning outcomes. It was concluded that the application of the PBL model with local context of Riau could improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII.1 Junior High School 13 Pekanbaru 13 in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year on variables linear equation system.
