Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII Putri MTS Al-Ittihad Kecamatan Tapung Hilir Kampar
This research is motivated by the importance of student mathematics learning outcomes, however the reality in the field shows that student mathematics learning outcomes are still low. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research is classroom action research consisting of four cycles. The subjects in this research were 42 students of class VIII Putri at MTs Al-Ittihad, Tapung Hilir Kampar District. The research instruments used were learning tools consisting of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets; and data collection instruments consisting of learning recordings/videos, observation sheets and mathematics learning results tests. Data from the observation sheet shows that the learning process has improved from the first meeting to the fourth meeting. The percentage of students who achieved the KKM in knowledge and skills competencies increased from the score before the action (basic score) to the score after the action (formative test score I, formative test 2, formative test 3, and formative test 4). The frequency of students in the very low, low and moderate criteria decreased, and the frequency of students in the high and very high criteria increased from the score before the action to the score after the action. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the PBL model can improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Putri at MTs Al-Ittihad, Tapung Hilir Kampar District in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
