Belat is a fishing tool in the tidal area by trapping the inundation part of the tide using a stick or net. The lack of data on the composition of the splint catch causes a lack of information on catch data, therefore it is necessary to know what the composition of the splint catch is and how the operation of the splint fishing gearThis research was conducted within one month, namely on August 10-August 31, 2023 located in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This research method is a survey method where data collection is carried out by direct observation to the field with fishermen to follow the fishing process starting from the installation of the mullet fishing gear, to calculating the amount of mullet catch at the time of raising the fishing gear. The composition of the belst catch consisted of 9 species, namely baung (Hemibagrus nemurus), tilan (Matacembelus erythrotaenia),elang(Datnioides polota hamilton),juaro(Pangasius polyuranodon), betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata), gulama (Johnius trachycephalus), galah shrimp (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei),baji (Grammopelites scaber). The total weight of eels during the study was 110,710 (grams), and the number of individuals was 1,719. Suggestions that can be given need further research using day and night comparisons in Sungai Salak Village, Tempuling Subdistrict to find out if there is a difference in the catch of the splint.
