Pengaruh Model Collaborative Learning Terhadap Efikasi Diri (Self Efficacy) Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Ppkn Pada Siswa Kelas Viii Smp Negeri 23 Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the discovery of conventional learning models such as lecture learning models that only run in one direction or what is known as teacher learning. Learning by way of lectures that only rely on printed books and teachers, making students uninterested in learning Civics subjects, so that students do not complete the demands of the learning process properly. The demands in the learning process, for example, students must do assignments, respond to the material that has been presented, and be able to do well on the exam.
The teacher-centered learning model results in low quality student learning. This is because students are only stuck to the material being discussed without involving the knowledge they have or get before. This, of course, can hinder students' problem-solving skills, namely due to lack of thoroughness, giving up easily, feeling anxious and rushing the task. This learning method causes students to be passive and less active. Therefore, researchers are interested in researching in order to find out the effect of the Collaborative learning model on students' Self efficacy by going directly to the field and seeing real field conditions.
The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an effect of the Collaborative learning model on student self-efficacy in Civics Learning for Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru City in the 2023/2024 School Year. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the collaborative learning model has on student self-efficacy. The learning model can be interpreted as a technique or method used by the teacher to organize learning in accordance with the objectives to be achieved in the learning to be applied. This research can be used as reference material for teachers in carrying out learning activities at school and can add new knowledge or knowledge that can be used as a study to solve the same problem.
This research is quantitative research with experimental methods, where the design form used is post-test only control group. This study uses random sampling techniques in collecting the population and samples, and is tested through a homogeneity test to get two classes. From the processed data results, it is explained that if the significance value> 0.005 then it is declared homogeneous. It was found that 2 classes were declared homogeneous, namely Classes A and C with a significance of 0.967 and Classes B and C with a significance of 0.006. Then the researcher took the largest significance value to be used as an experimental class and control class. The population in this study were VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru with a total of 288 students. The sample in this study amounted to 73 students, which were divided into two classes, namely class VIII A and class VIII C.
