Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Teaching Games For Understanding (Tgfu) Pada Keterampilan Permainan Bola Basket Peserta Didik Kelas X Di Smkn 7 Pekanbaru
According to Utamy, R., Ahmad, S., and Eddy, S. (2020), education is very important to improve the quality of human resources and determine the future of the country. Education also liberates society from being left behind and gives people an understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens (Iqbal Pambudi et al., 2019). The free curriculum starts in the 2022/2023 school year with the aim of improving the quality of life for the next generation by giving teachers the freedom to choose educational resources that best suit students' needs (Angga et al., 2022; Kemendikbudristek, 2022). The influence of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) learning model on the basketball playing skills of class X students at SMKN 7 Pekanbaru was evaluated using a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The results showed that students' grades in the class significantly improved compared to their previous class grades; Sig value. (2-tailed) < alpha (0.000 < 0.05), which indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of observations and interviews with PJOK teachers show that TGfU learning increases student activity and creativity during learning. This has a positive impact on students' basketball playing abilities. Therefore, the TGfU learning model has proven effective in improving the basketball playing skills of class X students at SMKN 7 Pekanbaru.
