This research is motivated by changes in politics and government after the fall of the New Order regime in Indonesia, which was followed by increasing issues of decentralization and democratization. Main focus on the Legislative and Executive branches of government, with the passage of three laws that changed the structure of the Indonesian government. One of them is Law Number 22 of 1999 concerning Regional Government, which gives greater authority to districts and cities in government and development management. The research is directed at evaluating the implementation of Good Governance in Duri Barat Subdistrict, with the aim of explaining field conditions, analyzing government governance, and identifying the influence of Good Governance principles on government governance. This research is quantitative research that uses a statistical approach to analyze the observed symptoms. Carried out in Duri Barat Village, Duri City, Riau Province, from March to April 2023.The population of this research is all government employees in Duri Barat District, with sampling using total sampling because the population is less than 100. The data collected consists of primary data through questionnaires and interviews, as well as secondary data in the form of report archives. The research instrument includes Good Governance and government governance variables, with indicators such as participation, transparency, accountability, productivity, responsiveness and responsibility. The data analysis techniques used include simple linear regression analysis, normality test, t test, and coefficient of determination test to determine the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of research in Duri Barat Village show some important conclusions. iv

First, multiple linear regression analysis shows that increasing the percentage of Good Governance is positively related to improving governance. The regression coefficient (slope) for this variable is positive, indicating a favorable influence. Second, the implementation of Good Governance simultaneously has a positive effect on employee governance in Duri Barat Subdistrict. This confirms that Good Governance has a significant influence on government governance. Third, although there is a positive relationship between Good Governance and governance (expressed by a correlation of around 0.343), the low R Square value of around 11.8% indicates that other factors outside Good Governance also influence variations in governance. This indicates the importance of considering other factors in explaining variations in governance in Duri Barat Subdistrict.
