Daya Dukung Perikanan Alami Berdasarkan Klorofil-a Danau Selat Panjang, Desa Lubuk Siam, Kecamatan Siak Hulu, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau
The carrying capacity of waters for natural fisheries is the maximum capacity of an ecosystem to support fish production sustainably. This can be determined based on chlorophyll-a, which is an indicator of nutrient availability and fertility. The purpose of the study was to determine the carrying capacity of natural fisheries based on chlorophyll-a content in Lake Selat Panjang, Lubuk Siam Village, considering that Lake Selat Panjang is a source of livelihood for the community. The method used in this research is a survey method by making direct observations at Lake Selat Panjang. The research was conducted Sept, 2023. There are 3 stations namely station 1 (inlet area), station 2 (in middle of the lake) and station 3 (the end of lake). In each stations, there were 2 sampling sites, in the surface and in the middle of water column. Sampling was done three times, two/weeks. Water the middle of water column. Results of chlorophyll-a concentration measurement during research at Lake Selat Panjang the range of 13.13-14.02 mg/L belongs to the group of mesotrophic lakes and primary productivity values Long Strait Lake amounted to 338.07 gC/m2/year. Based on chlorophyll-a measurement data and values primary productivity, carrying capacity of the current production capacity of the natural fisheries of Lake Selat Panjang is 4,051 tons of Fish / year. Further research is needed to obtain more complete data with periodic time and make measurements of CO2 as the main ingredient in the process photosynthesis of autotrophic organisms.
