Strategi Optimalisasi Tambat Labuh Kapal Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bungus Sumatera Barat
Bungus Ocean Fishing Port (PPS) is one of the large fishing ports and has a significant contribution to the capture fisheries sector in the western part of Sumatra Island. To improve the efficiency of moorings at Bungus Ocean Fishing Port (PPS), optimization strategies need to be implemented through improving facilities, adjusting operational services, formulating appropriate policies, and strengthening supervision by related agencies. This study aims to determine the condition of moorings and mooring operational services, formulating good strategies so that moorings are more optimal. The research method used in this study is the survey method. The results of the study show that Bungus Ocean Fishing Port is equipped with mooring facilities in the form of docks that support the main activities of the port. Based on the SWOT analysis, this port is in quadrant III (X = -0.14, Y = 0.35), indicating a turnaround development strategy, namely utilizing opportunities by reducing weaknesses. The Weakness–Opportunity (WO) strategy is implemented through several policies: (a) increasing the capacity of port facilities to meet fish demand, (b) implementing ship management and scheduling technology to overcome overload, and (c) increasing human resource training and education for fishermen to support the local fishing industry.
