Analysis of productivity and economic efficiency is very important to understand the development of fishing businesses and to determine potential improvements in existing businesses. This research aims to determine the value of productivity and economic efficiency of catching skipjack tuna using purse seines at the Sibolga Nusantara Fisheries Port. The research method used in this research is a survey method and data analysis is carried out using descriptive analysis. The research results show that the highest production value will be in 2023. The average productivity of ships in 2023 is IDR 30,936,922,- or around 32 tons per GT. The average value of productivity per ship trip is IDR 619,451,439,- or around 29 tons per trip. Productivity per crew member has an average value of Rp. 93,409,020,- or around 4.4 tons per crew member. The investment budget required by purse seine fishermen ranges from IDR 1,483,415,200 to IDR 6,861,871,000,- with an average of IDR 3,502,609,445,- with an average payback period for all vessels of 0.8 years. The fishing business using purse seine fishing gear as a whole can be said to be efficient or profitable with an average BCR value of 4.83, this states that the fishing business using purse seine fishing gear carried out by fishermen at the Sibolga Nusantara Fisheries Harbor is worthy of development because of its BCR value. ≥1.
