Pengaruh Pola Pengasuhan Orang Tua Tunggal (janda) Terhadap Kemandirian Anak Perempuan Remaja (Usia 12-17 Tahun) Di Desa Lipatkain Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Kabupaten Kampar
This research discusses the parenting patterns of single parents (widows) on the independence of adolescent girls aged 12-17 years in Lipatkain Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. The problem raised is how the parenting pattern of a single mother affects young women's ability to make decisions, self-management and social responsibility. In addition, this research examines the extent to which single parent support plays a role in shaping children's independence to face various challenges in adolescence.This research aims to:
1. Analyze the parenting patterns applied by single parents (widows) towards adolescent girls aged 12-17 years in Lipatkain Village.
2. Identify the level of independence of adolescent girls in the aspects of decision making, time management and social responsibility.
3. Measuring the extent to which the parenting pattern of a single parent (widow) influences the level of independence of adolescent girls aged 12-17 years in Lipatkain Village.
This type of research uses ex-post facto quantitative methods, where the independent variable is parenting patterns that have occurred previously. The population in this study were female adolescents aged 12-17 years who were raised by single parents in Lipatkain Village, with a sample of 51 respondents, whotaken using a simple random sampling technique with an error rate of 10%. Data was collected from several teenagers who were active in mosques in the village. Data collection methods involve observation of interactions between mother and child, questionnaires to measure parenting patterns and the level of independence of adolescents, documentation in the form of photographs. The research instrument consists of two forms of questionnaires: (1) single parent parenting patterns, and (2) female adolescent independence. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics to provide a general description, and inferential statistics to measure the relationship between variables.
There is a significant positive influence between Parenting Patterns (X) on Independence (Y), the influence of which is 15.9%, meaning 84.1 is influenced by other factors which are not included in this research. The higher the Parenting Pattern (X) on the Independence of Adolescent Girls Aged 12-17 Years in Kenegerian Lipatkain, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency, the higher the Independence of Adolescent Girls Aged 12-17 Years in Kenegerian Lipatkain, Kampar Kiri District, Regency Kampar. Examples of other factors not included in this research are protective parenting patterns, autocratic parenting patterns, permissive parenting patterns, and flexible parenting patterns.
Based on the research results, it is recommended that single parents (widows) in Lipatkain Village maintain parenting patterns that support the development of children's independence, especially through providing appropriate responsibilities and emotional support. Adolescent girls are also expected to continue to develop their independence so that they are better prepared to face various challenges in the future.
