This research aims to determine the application of the problem based learning model assisted by mobile learning to improve elementary students' critical thinking skills in the independent curriculum science and science subjects in class
IV. PBL is an instructional strategy that allows students to develop critical thinking abilities and problem solving skills that they can encounter in everyday life. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research. The data sources in this research are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The subjects in this research were class V students at SDN 10 Tumang , Siak District, totaling 27 students, consisting of 14 female students and 13 male students. The research design used was the Taggart model with 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Data was obtained from observation, documentation, and students' critical thinking skills by giving tests.
Data on initial ability results carried out in the pre-cycle contained students who did not complete their studies and had not yet achieved the 80 learning objective achievement criteria (KKTP) that had been set. Of the 27 students, there were 17 students who did not complete, and 10 students who completed.

The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the problem based learning model assisted by mobile learning can improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in the science subject of the independent curriculum in grade IV, the level of student completion in cycle I was 48%, with an N-Gain score of 0.36 in the medium category. Cycle II, 63% who completed with an N- Gain score of 0.2 were in the low category. And cycle III, 83% who completed with an N-Gain score of 0.3 were in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills with the use of the PBL model assisted by mobile learning.
